  • The Steering Committee was briefed on the final approved Emphasis Areas and the Emphasis Area Team Leaders were introduced to the committee. The committee discussed the Emphasis Area Team Member selection process and the approach to the team meetings.

  • Steering Committee Meeting #3 held to discuss proposed emphasis areas for the NJ 2020 SHSP, solicit nominations for Emphasis Area Team Leaders, and to discuss overarching goals for the NJ 2020 SHSP.

• November 7, 2019

  • The Steering Committee met to provide input on the program for Safety Summit #1, discuss potential NJ 2020 SHSP emphasis area considerations, and to discuss how the NJ 2020 SHSP will coordinate with other plans in New Jersey.

• October 25, 2019

  • The first meeting of the NJ 2020 SHSP Steering Committee was held. The committee is co-chaired by Assistant Commissioner Michael Russo of the New Jersey Department of Transportation’s Commission of Planning, Multimodal and Grants Administration and Director Eric Heitmann of the New Jersey Department of Law and Public Safety’s Division of Highway Traffic Safety.
